I was proud to be apart of the competition at the Vex World Championship in Dallas last week. One of our teams took home the Innovate Award, and we all had a great time bonding, learning and competing.

The program was a fantastic experience, one I won’t soon forget. Last Saturday, I graduated from the iLEADinSTEM program, which was created to help middle school and high school girls interested in pursuing a career in STEM get relevant experience and training from expert instructors. Attending college became very really last week when I attended my first college tour at Carroll Senior High School. I made a list of the strong STEM schools and made sure to visit them. The list included UT Austin, Michigan State, Penn State, and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

I’m having a blast spending each Saturday at the Mark Cuban Foundation Boot Camps. I’m learning a lot, but more importantly, I’m getting to apply a lot of what I’m learning in my Honors Robotics and Rocket Science classes.
