Student, athlete, sister, daughter & volunteer

There is never a dull moment when I’m around. Among my family members and friends, I’m known as the adventurer. I like to have fun, laugh, and I try to find enjoyment in everything. I’m also known as a techie, because I like all things technology, including gaming, computers, programming and being the IT person for my household.

I also love sports, track & field and cross country. (I must be moving. Always.) My real passion, however, is for two things: helping special needs kids and their families, and finding solutions to technical problems. These are loves I was born with, my parents say. I love kids—caring for those in need makes me happier than anything. Whether it’s carrying the books of a classmate who has a cast on her leg or sitting with special needs kids at lunch so I can help them cut their fruit or open their drinks, being there for kids in need is simply who I am.

I’m known as the hacker in my family because I’m always finding a new way to use existing technology. Maybe it’s that I was born the year that the iPhone debuted, but few things make me happier than programming. (Yep, I plan to major in computer science in college.)

This is my first blog. I plan to use it to capture the activities I’m a part of, showcase images I capture from travels, an1d shine a light on the people and places that catch my interest. Thanks for being along for the ride. I don’t know where we’re headed, but it’ll be a fun ride.
